Boring Writing

My basic English writing professor tells me my writing may be too clever and colorful. Hmmm? and this means what exactly? My cleverness and desire to play and manipulate words in order to express the complexity of my thoughts may be a bit too much for the reader. Simple sentence structure with minimal room for misinterpretation is what is necessary for "good writing." The protein, the verbs and nouns of the sentences, should be factual accompanied with hard evidence. Not to get the reader distracted by the ambiguous adjectives or metaphors... Hello! Who am I writing for???? If you would like to better understand my thoughts understand they are not boring nor can I dumb them down in any fashion. My words are golden and should be regarded as valuable. I may understand and interpret my thoughts in a way that seems a bit over exemplified, but i am not trying to impress you. My words, upon escaping the contraption of my being, in written or verbal form, impress me.
